Check your raw food before eating! Raw or under-cooked seafood can sustain parasites in your body.
The Straits Times recently reported that a Singaporean man unknowingly expelled a 2.8m tapeworm from his body, despite showing no signs of pain or symptoms. The case actually happened in 2016, and was shared by infectious disease expert Hsu Li Yang when asked for local cases of people getting infected after eating raw seafood.
The news comes shortly after Washington Post broke news of a 30-year-old man experiencing a 1.6m tapeworm slithering out of his body. The man who lived in California, reportedly ate raw fish almost every day.
