Stories of reincarnation have tickled the imagination of people for centuries. And yet, sometimes the similarities between people born of different eras are almost too uncanny to be explained in any other way.
Among the many discussions swirling around on the Internet about Donald Trump, one theory suggests that he is the reincarnation of the decorated World War II military commander, General George Patton, with a striking resemblance in terms of appearance, personality, behaviour, and background.
Born in 1885, George S. Patton was a general of the United States Army who was among the most famous American military commanders during World War II.
Widely celebrated as an American hero, his biography was made into a film Patton in 1970, which won seven Academy Awards.
1. Appearance
Take a look at these photos. Look how closely they resemble each other.

2. Timeline
Patton died in a car accident in 1945.
Trump was born the following year in 1946, matching the timeline almost perfectly.
3. Family Backgrounds

Both were born into wealthy families. Patton was born into a wealthy military family and was raised in the San Gabriel Mountains of California. He enjoyed a privileged childhood. He attended the Virginia Military Institute and the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, and served in the U.S. military for the rest of his life.

Trump was born in a prosperous real estate family in Queens, New York City, and was sent to a military academy by his father. He later forged a successful real estate empire which made him a billionaire.
Both made remarkable achievements in their respective careers.
4. Talent in Sports

Patton was the first American to compete in the modern pentathlon at the 1912 Olympic Games and won 5th place in the competition. He was good at shooting, fencing, horse riding, and swimming.
Trump on the other hand, was a star athlete who was captain of the school’s baseball team, and also represented his school in American football and soccer. He won numerous awards at school for his athletic prowess, and has been described by former classmates as being so good at baseball that he could have become a professional baseball player.
5. Distinctive Image
Patton and Trump are both exceptionally talented at building their own distinctive images. Both are high-profile individuals who enjoy showing off and living luxuriously.

Patton had a fancy ivory-handled Colt Single Action Army revolver, a gun that later became an icon of Patton’s image. His helmet was always well-shined, and he was always seen dressed in horse cavalry trousers and cavalry high boots. Patton’s specific modifications to his jeep included armour plating, high-volume horns and sirens, a machine gun, and metal flags depicting his general rank at that time.

Trump presents himself as energetic and confident. His iconic hairstyle is one of the most distinguishing features of his image. He owns private jets, helicopters, luxury cars and luxury yachts emblazoned with ‘TRUMP’. His personality in this respect closely resembled that of Patton’s.
6. Strong Personality
Both are known for their bold public image, and their loud and crude way of speech.

Known as a brilliant commander in the Army, Patton was courageous and decisive. On the battlefield, he raised the morale of the Allies and brought closer the victory of World War II.
Patton was known for using profane language in his speeches. His profanity-laden speeches were controversial enough at the time that he had to write letters to his family to explain about them, “When I want my men to remember something important, to really make it stick, I give it to them double dirty. It may not sound nice to a bunch of little old ladies, at an afternoon tea party, but it helps my soldiers to remember. You can’t run an army without profanity, and it has to be eloquent profanity. An army without profanity couldn’t fight its way out of a piss-soaked paper bag.”
Trump’s speeches have always been laden with controversy. His criticisms of various parties on Twitter and his sharp words have often made news headlines. However, many admire him for his bold actions and his courage to challenge the mainstream culture of political correctness.
7. Devotion to God
General Patton and Trump are both devout Christians.
Patton once wrote a poem, “And I see not in my blindness, What the objects were I wrought, But as God rules o’er our bickerings It was through His will I fought.”

During World War II, in the infamous Battle of the Bulge, persistent rain halted the progress of the United States 3rd Army. General Patton called upon his army chaplain to write a prayer for clear weather, with the strong belief that it would help.
He told the chaplain, “Chaplain, I am a strong believer in Prayer. There are three ways that men get what they want; by planning, by working, and by Praying.”
The very next day, Patton’s prayer to God was answered; the harsh weather miraculously cleared, and Patton could get his army moving again. They were able to rescue the heavily encircled 101st Airborne Division.
The Patton Prayer became a renowned miracle, and was forever recorded in American history.
Trump too, is a firm believer in God. As a child, his religious beliefs and values were instilled in him by his mother. He regularly attended church while growing up, and it has since become a part of his life. One of Trump’s famous quotes goes, “We don’t worship government, we worship God”. One of the two Bibles that Trump held at his inauguration ceremony as president was gifted to him by his mother when he graduated from elementary school in 1955.
President Trump declared a national emergency on March 13 following the outbreak of coronavirus in 2020. He also declared March 15 a National Day of Prayer, encouraging Americans to turn towards prayer in an act of faith, and to look to God for protection and strength.
Trump has called for official national prayers on many occasions as well. He has led cabinet officials at Camp David, with heads bowed in prayer during the 2017 Hurricane Irma. Miraculously, Hurricane Irma’s intensity rapidly weakened, and it shifted its course away from the region’s most densely populated areas.
Having seen all these comparisons, do you think that Donald Trump is the reincarnation of General Patton? Let us know in the comments, and don’t forget to share this with your friends and family.
